Price of pork drives profitability in Paraná

Pig farming in Paraná registered the highest profitability of the year in October 2025, according to the Agricultural Economic Situation Bulletin released this Thursday (4) by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), from the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab). The margin reached R$ 1.45 per kilo, the difference between the price paid to the producer and the estimated production cost. Deral technicians highlight that the result stems from the combination of the best price received by producers in the year and the second lowest production cost in the period. According to the bulletin, "the price received by the producer for pigs in Paraná reached R$ 7.22/kg in October," a value that represents an increase of 0.8% compared to September and 3.8% compared to the same month in 2024.
