Rapeseed oil prices in the European market, especially at Rotterdam, are experiencing a downturn due to decreased demand from the biofuel industry, leading to a significant drop in prices. As of May 15, the prices have fallen by about $100 per ton in the past two weeks, reaching $900 per ton, a level much lower than early February this year. The high supply volume of oil in the European market is also putting pressure on prices. Additionally, European rapeseed oil is poised to increase its market share in major importing countries due to a high discount compared to crude palm oil and Argentine soybean oil.
