On 7/21/2024, the prices of imported feed and raw materials for poultry and other livestock experienced fluctuations. The costs for broiler, layer poultry, cattle, duck, rabbit, sheep, pigeon, quail, turkey, fish, and camel feed ranged from 14,000 to 23,000 pounds per ton. Imported yellow corn, used as a raw material, was priced at 11,400 to 12,000 pounds per ton, depending on the source. The prices of soybean meal, corn, and corn meal were influenced by the global stock market, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and increased global fuel prices. These factors contribute to the variation in poultry feed prices, which were noted to range from 19,000 to 22,200 pounds per ton by Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, the Head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
