The chicken market in Brazil saw a surge in prices due to increased demand during the end-of-year holiday season. While the cost of chicken at the farm in São Paulo remained stable at R$5.60/kg, wholesale chicken prices rose by 1.85% to R$8.25/kg. Live animals remained at the same price in Paraná and Santa Catarina. There was a slight increase in the price of frozen poultry by 0.60% to R$8.42/kg, and chilled chicken also saw a slight increase of 0.48%, closing at R$8.34/kg.
