Training programs from the Faepa/Senar System qualified farmers from Portel and strengthened the fish chain on Marajó

The municipality of Portel (PA) received, in October, two important training actions aimed at fish farming promoted by the Faepa/Senar System. The courses were developed in partnership with the Rural Producers' Union, the Municipal Prefecture, and the Porto Camarapi Pescados da Amazônia. Over four days, the Fish Farming and Fish Processing courses were held, with the aim of strengthening the local production chain and expanding the technical knowledge of producers in the region. The training sessions brought together producers and workers from the fishing sector, interested in improving their techniques, adopting good practices, and expanding income opportunities in the municipality. The Fish Farming course, taught by instructor Antônio Márcio Rodrigues dos Anjos, covered topics such as pond management, fish feeding, and fish health, contributing to increased productivity and sustainability of the activity.
