The United States Meat Export Federation (USMEF) has successfully introduced two new pork products, a thick-cut pork chop and thinly sliced pork ribs, to the Chilean market through a test promotion with a local importer and supermarket chain, Tottus. The promotion saw strong consumer demand, leading to the expansion of the products to more Tottus outlets. The USMEF also conducted grilling demonstrations to further promote the products. The funding for the promotion was provided by the Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board and the National Pork Board.
