The article reports on the latest Rosstat data on Russia's agricultural sector, focusing on fish and meat production in January-April 2021 compared to the previous year. It highlights a decrease in frozen fish production by 1.1% and 9.4% in April 2021 compared to the same month in the previous year and March 2021, respectively. On the other hand, canned fish production saw a decline of 11.5% and 3.1% in April 2021 compared to the same month in the previous year and March 2021, respectively. In contrast, meat production experienced a slight increase of 1.1% year-over-year, totaling 968.01 thousand tons. Despite this, there was a notable decrease in the production of various meats, such as cattle, pork, and lamb, by 2.2% and 4.5% in April 2021 compared to the previous month. Additionally, the production of chilled poultry meat and cooked sausages saw increases of 3.6% and 1.7%, respectively, in April 2021 compared to the same month in the previous year. The production of meat and meat-containing semi-finished products also experienced an increase of 11.4% in the first four months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
