The article reports on the growth in the area of orchards and vineyards in Tajikistan's Sughd region over the first 11 months of 2020, with an increase in area by over 20,000 hectares as part of a state program. However, production of key fruits such as apricots and apples saw a decrease due to April frosts, leading to a decrease in harvest by 5,000 tons and 3,000 tons respectively. Additionally, grape production was down by 20% compared to the previous year. Despite these setbacks, the region successfully laid new gardens and vineyards, restored old ones, and exported various fresh fruits to 15 near and far abroad countries, generating a customs amount of $778 thousand for apricots alone.
