Production of fruit from trees in Poland

The article reports a significant decrease in the production of various fruits due to unfavorable weather conditions. Sour cherry production is expected to decrease by 35% to around 110 thousand tonnes, and sweet cherry production by over 24% to 51.9 thousand tonnes. The harvest of peaches, apricots, and walnuts is estimated to be 27% lower than the previous year, amounting to 14.4 thousand tonnes. Harvests from other fruit trees, including dogwood, rowan, common medlar, and quince, are projected to be approximately 20% lower than in 2023, totaling around 2.3 thousand tonnes.
