Program seeks to strengthen the cotton chain in Ceará

The resumption of cotton cultivation has returned to the center of productive development policies in Ceará, with a focus on the reorganization of the chain and support for rural producers. According to the Secretariat of Economic Development of the state of Ceará, the State Program for the Strengthening and Revitalization of Cotton Cultivation has been launched, with integrated action from state, federal agencies, and representative entities of the sector. The initiative involves the Casa Civil, the Secretariat of Economic Development, the Ceará Agricultural and Livestock Defense Agency, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, the Association of Cotton Producers of Ceará, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
