Project Low Methane Rice wins global prize

UPL won the SBCOP Awards, a global recognition focusing on the positive climate agenda, delivered at COP30 in Belém. The company was highlighted in the Food Systems category with the Low Methane Rice Project, which seeks to reduce methane footprint in rice cultivation in various regions of the planet. Sustainable Business COP (SB COP) is a global initiative led by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), launched at COP30 in Belém, but which will extend to future COPs, focusing on structuring and strengthening the participation of the private sector in global climate negotiations.
