A project conducted by SIA Brasil will map greenhouse gas emissions on rural properties and structure mitigation strategies based on technical data. The initiative involves producers linked to the Rincões do Pampa cooperative, in Lavras do Sul (RS), and has the partnership of Sebrae and Lavras do Sul Mineração, focusing on the sheep meat chain. The first stage of the project consists of conducting emission inventories directly on the rural properties. This diagnosis allows for identifying the behavior of greenhouse gases within each production system. Based on this data, the producers begin to receive technical guidance for adjustments in management, focusing on improving environmental and productive performance over time.
