The 'Lagos do São Francisco' project, a collaboration between Embrapa Semiárido and Chesf, with support from BNDES, has brought technological innovations to small farmers in the Semi-Arid region, focusing on fruit production. The project has provided guidance and inputs for the installation of Technological Learning Fields (CATs), including one for Tahiti lemon in Poço Redondo and Delmiro Gouveia. The initiative has also conducted training sessions on water management, pruning, and phytosanitary treatments, and will continue activities until April 2022. The project partners include the Federal University of the São Francisco Valley, municipal governments, Emater-AL, BA, SE, CODEVASF, Cooperatives, Associations and Union of Rural Workers of Family Farmers.
