The article highlights the settlement of the Academician Liu Zhonghua Workstation of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in Anhua County, Hunan, to conduct research on the health and pharmacological effects of black tea. This initiative aims to boost the local black tea industry, which is renowned for Anhua dark tea, a national geographical indication protection product. The city and Hunan Agricultural University have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to support this research. Since 2007, Yiyang City and Anhua County have supported the tea industry's growth, expanding tea garden areas, increasing tea processing volumes, and generating substantial output values. The long-term goal is to develop the black tea industry into a 100 billion industrial cluster over the next 5 to 10 years, focusing on tea tourism integration, creating organic ecological smart tea gardens, and improving industry standards.
