Gliosporiosis is a disease that has been favored in recent years in Greece mainly due to the modification of climatic conditions (with mild wet winters and spring and uneven rainfall distribution). In the current growing season (2025) it shows a strong outbreak, especially in Western Greece, with disastrous consequences on the quantity and quality of olive oil.
