The federal government issued a provisional measure authorizing the allocation of up to R$ 6 billion for the creation of financing lines for the acquisition of new or semi-new trucks, focusing on the renewal of the cargo transportation fleet. The provisional measure (MP 1,328/2025) was published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Union on Tuesday (16). The resources must be used to finance individuals and legal entities in the road cargo transportation sector — which includes, for example, independent transporters, cooperatives, sole proprietors, and companies. The management of the resources will be under the Ministry of Finance. The National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) will act as the financial agent. MP 1,328/2025 is already in effect (since all provisional measures take effect as soon as they are issued by the Presidency of the Republic).
