Indonesia is grappling with the challenge of maintaining food security due to threats such as climate change, land conversion, and limited access to modern agricultural technology, and the decline in young farmers interested in the sector. The Indonesian government, private sector, and social organizations are working together to strengthen food security through various policies and initiatives like the Indonesian Zakat Initiative's (IZI) Smartfarm Academy. This program aims to provide technological assistance, business capital, and mentoring to farmers, with the goal of modernizing agriculture and increasing production. The initiative has received support from key figures and has launched 10,000 food security patriots to identify superior farmers across the country, demonstrating a collaborative effort to address these challenges.
