A large Ukrainian farm is harvesting late varieties of pumpkins, including white, orange, green, and yellow types, as well as nutmeg-flavored small pumpkins. The farm, which also grows pumpkins for seeds, has seen increasing demand for the fruit, with half consumed in Ukraine and the rest exported. The farm's average yield is 35 tons per hectare, and the wholesale price ranges from 5 hryvnias to 15 hryvnias per kilogram. The season can be extended until spring by storing the pumpkins in a dry, dark, cool room.
