With the aim of strengthening the feeding and productivity of alpacas, the Alpacas de Color project, executed by the Puno Regional Agrarian Development Management, will implement the direct sowing of white clover as a key strategy for the improvement of grasslands in the highland areas of the region. The intervention includes the sowing of white clover, Huía variety, a species adapted to altitudes between 3600 and 4200 m above sea level, recommended for the Puno plateau, especially in wetland and bofedal areas. For this process, a density of 4.5 kilograms of seed per hectare will be applied, in order to ensure adequate plant coverage and a greater availability of quality forage.
