The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs has allocated S/ 898,978.21 to the District Municipality of Quiaca to boost the production of granadilla, Andean papaya, and avocado crops for the third year in a row. This funding aims to improve technology transfer services for these crops across 356 hectares and introduce 60 new hectares of alternative crops in 10 sectors, potentially benefiting 600 families. The project includes the production of 32,470 seedlings, technical training for beneficiary families, and participation in local and regional fairs to promote the transformation of raw materials into value-added products. This initiative is part of the Comprehensive and Sustainable Alternative Development Budget Program (PIRDAIS).
