The article highlights the formation of agricultural cooperatives, specifically in the Chucuito-Juli province, to boost the international marketability of organically produced quinoa and cañihua. These cooperatives, including Nuevo Amanecer los Aymaras and the Lago Sagrado de Aymaras y Quechuas, are supported by the Organic Andean Grains project, aiming to enhance the economic well-being of local farmers by standardizing and enhancing production quality for both national and international markets. The article underscores the significance of these cooperatives in improving the profitability and economic stability of small-scale farmers.
