Binh Dinh province in Vietnam has seen a surge in peanut cultivation, with farmers planting on nearly 8,000 hectares in the winter-spring crop 2020-2021, a rise of almost 500 hectares from the previous year. The result is a productive season with an average yield of nearly 40 quintals per hectare and over 70 million VND in profit per hectare, thanks to the adoption of advanced farming techniques and efficient peanut varieties. The district of Phu Cat was particularly successful, harvesting more than 3,700 hectares of peanuts, and other districts like Tay Son also saw increased yields.
