President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which information about the boundaries of agricultural lands within agricultural land will begin to be included in the Unified State Register of Real Estate (USRN). Changes are being made to the law "On State Registration of Real Estate"; they will come into force on July 1, 2026. Agricultural lands have priority in use and are subject to special protection. However, in the absence of information about the boundaries of such territories in the USRN, they may be unreasonably attributed "to lands of other categories, included in the boundaries of settlements, provided to interested parties, including for purposes related to the construction of various facilities," it was noted in the explanatory note to the draft law.
