The Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Quarantine Headquarters held a meeting to discuss the expansion of agricultural exports. The meeting involved discussing the progress of export quarantine negotiations to develop new markets for agricultural products, listening to the difficulties faced by exporters, and finding solutions. Decisions were made to negotiate entry of pears into emerging markets such as Kenya, relax quarantine requirements for grapes, and promote education on quarantine requirements for each product. The Quarantine Headquarters has also decided to allow domestically produced paprika to be exported by air cargo from August 2023, and has relaxed export quarantine requirements for strawberries.
