The impact of avian flu on farms has dominated headlines for a week because the Government has decided to confine all birds that are raised outdoors as a prevention against the current impact and the foreseeable arrival of infected migratory birds from northern Europe. It has been a week in which questions have arisen about a pathology known to the scientific community and that now keeps an entire poultry sector on alert, on which many families depend.
