Heavy rain in La Xa spice vegetable village is causing concern for farmers as their crops could drown. Residents are taking proactive measures to drain water and protect the vegetable beds. The village, which specializes in growing basil, cinnamon, marjoram, perilla, and other spices, faces challenges such as waterlogging, slow plant growth, and increased susceptibility to pests and diseases during the rainy season. Despite these challenges, the cooperative group and other household garden growers are dedicated to taking care of their vegetables, which is their main source of income. The commune government is also investing in infrastructure to support farmers.
