According to a report by Rabobank, the upcoming 2023-2024 season will see a decrease in global exports of blueberries due to the El Niño phenomenon impacting Peru, the largest producer. This warm winter delayed the harvest and will negatively affect yields and shipments. Despite this, the long-term outlook for the blueberry industry is positive with global exports projected to reach one million metric tons by 2026-2027, driven by improved efficiency and productivity in Peru and expansion in other producing regions.
