Precipitation recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk region during the third decade of October halted the development of soil drought in the region and significantly replenished soil moisture reserves. This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hydrometeorological Center on its Facebook page, as written by APK-Inform. As it was clarified, the amount of precipitation in most of the region's territory amounted to 51-81 mm, or 392-623% of the decadal norm. In certain districts of the south, northwest, and far east, 35-50 mm of precipitation fell (269-385% of the norm). "Agrometeorological conditions have improved: sufficient and optimal soil moisture reserves, combined with warm weather, have created favorable conditions for the germination of grain and the emergence of winter cereal crops sown in September-October, and have improved conditions for initial vegetation in areas where seedlings were obtained before the precipitation," noted agrometeorologists.
