(NAP) The sowing of soybeans is nearing completion, reaching 99.5% of the intended planting, with work still to be done in the northern part of the agricultural area. 83.8% of the crop is in Normal/Good condition, just -2.3 percentage points below what was recorded in the previous report. Meanwhile, after a slight inter-weekly drop of -2.6 percentage points, 64% of the area maintains Adequate/Optimal water conditions. In parallel, 30% of the first soybean crop has entered the critical period, mainly in both core areas, where new precipitations will be necessary to sustain yield potential. As for the second soybean crop, nearing the end of planting, 16.4% of what was planted has already begun the flowering period (R1) under limiting water conditions, according to the latest PAS report from the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange (BdeC).
