In conjunction with the approaching blessed month of Ramadan, inspection campaigns have been launched in commercial markets and storage warehouses in the Casablanca region to ascertain the suitability of foodstuffs intended for sale in the markets during the holy month. These campaigns are being carried out nationally, through joint ministerial committees working in coordination between the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Health, and the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA), to ensure the intensification of inspections and guarantee the safety and quality of foodstuffs offered in the markets, as recent campaigns across various regions have exceeded tens of thousands of monitoring operations and resulted in the detection of a significant number of violations.
