The German agricultural sector, generating an annual revenue of 58 billion euros and employing over 600,000 people across 270,000 companies, has been recognized for its economic significance by the magazine "KOMMUNAL." In an effort to highlight the sector's contribution, the publication has ranked Geldern as the leading city for agriculture, followed by Westerstede, Edewecht, and Kevelaer, based on factors such as demographics, economy, and agricultural activity. These cities, along with Cloppenburg, Moormerland, Zerbst, and Neuruppin, were selected from among 600 cities for their strong agricultural sectors and high quality of life.
