The Sughd branch of the Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture in Tajikistan successfully harvested over 300 centners of persimmon from a young garden, indicating the fruit's increasing yield and quality in the region. With a history of cultivation since the 1960s, persimmon farming has expanded across Tajikistan, particularly in the Sughd region, where it now covers over 300 hectares and includes numerous local and international varieties. Despite its high yield and domestic demand, persimmon faces challenges such as low consumer purchasing power and export difficulties, resulting in fluctuating market prices.
