The European Commission has approved a framework of 132 million euros to support programs promoting EU agricultural products, aiming to increase the awareness and competitiveness of European food. The funds will finance campaigns not only within the EU but also in third countries. The subsidies will also help to spread more sustainable, healthier diets, in line with the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy, the European Green Deal, and the Europe Defeats Cancer program. This year's call received 189 applications, representing a 17 percent increase compared to the previous year. More and more member states participated in the program, within which independent experts evaluated the submitted proposals. Ultimately, 72 promotional projects received support: 56 "SIMPLE" and 16 "MULTI" programs will be implemented with EU funding.
