Brazilian farmers are set to harvest record crops of soybeans and corn in early 2025, leading to potential logistical issues at ports and an increase in freight rates. The country is expected to produce a record 170.0 million tons of soybeans and 125.0 million tons of corn for the 2024/25 growing season. This will result in a total export of over 205 million tons of soybeans, corn, sugar, and soybean meal, a 10 million ton increase from 2024. Despite Brazil's investment in new ports and expansions, it has been unable to keep up with the increasing production of soybeans and corn.
