Record high of 6.1% in the treated area in 2025

The area treated with agricultural pesticides in Brazil is expected to end the 2025 cycle on the rise, reflecting the dynamics observed throughout the year in the main producing regions. The estimate indicates a 6.1% growth compared to 2024, with a total of 2.6 billion hectares treated. The third projection was prepared by Kynetec Brasil, at the request of the National Union of the Plant Defense Products Industry. The survey is based on the Potential Treated Area, an indicator that considers not only the cultivated area but also the number of applications made and the quantity of products used in the tank, allowing for the measurement of the intensity of technology use in the field. The performance of the sector varied between the two semesters.
