A new income stabilizer for rural residents, called "Sunlight Pension," is being established, and the "Rural Basic Income Program" is being introduced, focusing on regions at risk of population extinction. The Local Era Committee, directly under the President (chaired by Kim Kyung-soo), held its first plenary session on September 30 at the Sejong Local Era Committee's main conference room. During this meeting, the "5 Major Areas and 3 Special Areas Strategy Blueprint" for implementing the national balanced growth agenda based on local autonomy was confirmed. To realize the "Balanced Growth for All" vision of the Lee Jae-myung government, the 5 Major Areas and 3 Special Areas economic zones: growth and concentration, 5 Major Areas and 3 Special Areas living zones: connection and expansion, and 5 Major Areas and 3 Special Areas implementation base: administrative and financial foundation were established.
