Reservoirs of Ukraine will be stocked with fry of crucian carp, carp, and white carp

In Ukraine, the autumn campaign to stock water bodies with the funds of local budgets is starting. At the first stage, it is planned to carry out large-scale measures to introduce young people to water bioresources in Kyiv Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast, Ternopil Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast, Poltava Oblast and Odesa Oblast. This was reported by the press service of the State Fisheries Agency. Thus, as part of the implementation of the comprehensive environmental protection program in the Kirovohrad region for 2021-25, the Kirovohrad OVA allocated UAH 500,000 to carry out works on the stocking of the Dnipro River (Kremenchutsk and Kamian reservoirs). In general, by the end of the year, it is planned to release 6 tons of crucian carp and carp fry into the reservoirs of the region with these funds, in particular, 3.35 tons into the Kremenchutsk Reservoir and 2.65 tons into the Kamian Reservoir.
