"As social interest in health and immunity increases, the scientific value of silkworms and silkworm products is being re-examined. We will utilize this change as a new opportunity and explore the path of the sericulture industry." This is the determination of Im Seok-jong, chairman of the Korea Sericulture Association, who aims to play the control tower role for the sericulture industry. The Korea Sericulture Association hosted a commemorative event and a ritual praying for a good silkworm harvest on the 9th at the National Agricultural Museum, marking the second Sericulture Workers' Day (held annually on May 10th). I met Chairman Im Seok-jong at this event.
