In Muş, the harvest of watermelons, which were planted over an area of 40 thousand decares by farmers, began with a ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Bozbulut village, 25 kilometers from the center, Muş Governor Avni Çakır stated that the city ranks 4th in Turkey in melon and watermelon production, emphasizing that the production contributes directly to both the farmers' income and the city's economy.
Governor Çakır said, "We are in a beautiful environment where we are very pleased to be. We are together with our farmer brothers in the fertile Muş Plain, in Bozbulut village, for the watermelon harvest. Right now, we are witnessing melon and watermelon planting in almost every region of our province. As you can see, we are having a very productive season. Our province is currently 4th in Turkey in melon and watermelon production. Hopefully, with this increasing momentum, we will all strive to reach the top 3 in the coming period, and then the top. Allah surely rewards the worker, the producer. Even if a year is weak, the next year compensates. That's why one should not be displeased with work..."
