The highest volume of salt imports from Australia was recorded in 2018, while the imports from China peaked in 2015 and increased again in 2021. India was the largest supplier of salt to Indonesia in 2011, but imports from the country decreased significantly in 2020. The total volume of salt imports in 2020 was 2.61 million tons, valued at US $ 94.55 million, an increase from the previous year.
