The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia has reported a successful sale of Ri6 durians by Uu Dam Company in the Australian market. The durians, imported from Vietnam, are priced between AUD 18.99 to 25 per kilogram and have been well-received due to the importer's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. In response to the high demand, the importer plans to import 100-150 tons of Ri6 durians to Australia this year. This success underscores the growing potential for agricultural exports from Vietnam to Australia, with the two countries prioritizing quality over cheap prices. In the first half of this year, agricultural exports to Australia, including vegetables, reached over 40 million USD, and when other key agricultural products like cashew, coffee, and rice are included, the exports amounted to 110 million USD.
