Sierra Leone has become the ninth country to join the 'K-Rice Belt' project, which aims to increase rice production in Africa by sharing Korea's experience and technology. The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Jeong Hwang-geun, met with Sierra Leone's President and other officials to discuss agricultural cooperation and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on K-Rice Belt cooperation. Sierra Leone expressed a desire to learn from Korea's rice seeds and agricultural technology development experience, while Korea offered support for the 2030 Busan World Expo and cooperation in various areas including technology and human exchange.
