The Rural Development Administration of South Korea has launched the 'African Rice Quality Seed Production (Ricepia) Project Promotion Team' to implement the 'K-Rice Belt' project. The team, led by Yoon Jong-cheol, will support the production and cultivation technology of high-quality rice seeds in Africa. The project will start with a pilot production of 2,040 tons of rice seeds in six countries this year, with an annual production of 11,140 tons in seven countries by 2027. The team will also provide education and training through the Rural Development Administration's COPIA project.
