The soybean harvest in Rio Grande do Sul has progressed to 1% of the cultivated area in the 2022/23 season, which is behind the 10% recorded a year earlier and the historical average of 14%, due to recent droughts. The unstable and adverse weather conditions have led to productivity losses and variability in grain potential. Herbicides are being used to control weeds, and 68% of the corn areas have been harvested. However, some off-season crops have shown symptoms of humidity restriction due to drier periods.
