The Río Negro refrigeration industry is going through one of the most complex moments in recent years. The slaughter numbers for the first eleven months of the year confirm a trend that no longer allows for optimistic readings: the activity is contracting, companies are losing scale, fixed costs are becoming increasingly difficult to absorb, and the business is beginning to show clear signs of structural stress. Behind the statistics, forced decisions, liquidation of stock, production rearrangements, and a scenario emerge that puts at risk the sustainability of much of the industrial network linked to the bovine meat industry in the province. During November, the indicators once again confirmed this downward dynamic.
