Indonesian palm oil exports to China reached 7.7 million tons in 2023

The Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association (Gapki) noted that the export performance of Indonesian palm oil products to a number of importing countries such as China, India, Africa, the United States and Bangladesh experienced an increase in 2023. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and Pakistan decreased. According to Gapki's records, China is the main importer of Indonesian palm oil. Demand for palm oil from the Bamboo Curtain country has reached 7.7 million tons compared to 6.2 million tons in 2022. "China is currently the largest importer of Indonesian palm oil. We hope it can stay at 7.7 million tons and hopefully it can reach that number in 2019 (8 million tons)," said Gapki General Chair, Eddy Martono in a press conference, Tuesday. (27/2).
