Romanian wheat traders are looking to expand into the Indonesian market, following a change in regulations that allows the country to receive plant product export certificates from Romania's ANSVSA. This opens up one of the world's largest wheat importers to Romanian wheat, which has a higher protein content and can compete with Black Sea wheat. The new market is of particular interest as Egypt, a traditional importer, has recently shifted its preference to Bulgarian wheat. The current domestic stocks in Indonesia are low, and traders are anticipating the new Romanian crop, expected in July.
