The Rostov Region is planning to increase its commercial fish production to 25,000 tons, providing state support to the industry. In 2019, the region produced 24.4 thousand tons, which is 10% of Russia's total production. The region has allocated 288 million rubles from the regional budget for the development of the fishery complex from 2018-2020, and 84.4 million rubles have been allocated for the current year. Individual entrepreneur Sergei Desyatov's pond farm in the Konstantinovsky region receives state support and produced about 965 tons of commercial fish in 2019. The farm also practices in vivo obtaining caviar and releases fish into natural reservoirs.
