The Rostov region has experienced a positive growth in its agro-industrial sector in 2022, as reported by Viktor Goncharov, the region's first deputy governor. The region has seen a significant increase in the production and processing of agricultural products, with a 5% rise in agricultural production and an 11% increase in the food industry compared to 2021. The region also set a record with a grain crop of 15.3 million tons, marking a 9% increase from the previous year. Additionally, there has been a surge in animal husbandry products, with meat, eggs, and milk seeing increases of 21.5%, 22%, and 0.4% respectively. Furthermore, the food and processing industry has seen a boost in production across various product categories, alongside a notable rise in wages within the industry.
