North Korea's food crop production this year is estimated at 4.82 million tons, an increase of 310,000 tons compared to last year. The Rural Development Administration made this announcement through the estimation results of ‘North Korea’s food crop production in 2023’, which comprehensively analyzed the weather conditions in the North Korean region, the occurrence of pests and diseases, the fertilizer supply and demand situation, crop data from domestic and foreign research institutes, and satellite image information. It is estimated that a total of 4.82 million tons of food crops were produced in North Korea this year, an increase of 310,000 tons, or 6.9%, from 4.51 million tons last year.
